Quaint, scenic, informative, beautiful, rustic... what's not to like? Great little park with historic significance with lookouts to the Colorado River below. The house and old brewery are a must-see if you are a history buff. Staff are outstanding: friendly, helpful, Texan :)

Come for the history or come for the nature. Either way you wont be disappointed. The historical reason for the park is heartwarming. I'll let you discover why. Save yourself 30 minutes to explore the interpretive nature trail and learn about the flowers and fauna in this rich ecoregion. You'll soon discover why this location was also chosen for the first brewery in the great state of Texas!

My goodness, it's so nice to sit and enjoy the view from the top of the bluff, listen to the birds, take a few deep breaths and simply let the breeze carry away one's cares. Learning the history of the park and the soldiers gives a person something to consider as they mosey along the trails.

Pretty cool place to check out, The wife and I took the youngest granddaughter there and had a GREAT TIME FOR FREE! THAT'S RIGHT FREE!!!!

Recommended!
